Baggage Handling Decking for Dublin Airport

We are proud to have completed the installation of specialised ULD (Unit Load Device) decking at Dublin Airport, designed to improve the efficiency of baggage transfer operations. Our solution ensures a smooth and streamlined process for handling agents, facilitating the easy transfer of passenger baggage from ULDs to cargo dolly units. This system not only boosts operational efficiency but also prioritises the comfort and convenience of the handling agents. Led by our head designer, Pete McEwan, who brought his expertise from previous projects, we were able to provide a bespoke solution that enhances the passenger and staff experience at Dublin Airport.

Our Success

Weekly staged meetings were held with all of the numerous contractors during the installation of the system. These played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the project. We used GD Engineering to complete the system install. GD Engineering were excellent, their regular communication and updates from Dublin kept everyone informed and on track, leading to the successful completion of the system installation. The project was delivered successfully through innovation, teamwork, and adaptation to new circumstances.
